Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

Sipa is a water-tracking app. This policy explains exactly what it does and does not do with your information. The short version: your drink log never leaves your phone unless you choose to send it somewhere, and Sipa has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising.

What stays on your device

Everything you enter is stored in a database on your phone and is not transmitted to us. We do not operate a server that receives it, and we cannot read it. This includes:

Deleting the app removes this data from your device. Because it is not stored anywhere else, deletion is permanent and we cannot restore it.

Apple Health and Health Connect

If — and only if — you turn the setting on, Sipa writes the water you log to Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android). It writes water volume; it does not read your other health data. You can revoke access at any time in the Health app or in system settings, and Sipa keeps working normally without it. This data goes to Apple or Google under their policies, never to us.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Sipa does not use push notifications, so no server is told when or whether you drink. Reminders step down week by week and stop entirely after about five weeks.

Subscriptions

Sipa Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system and managed with RevenueCat, which handles receipt validation and subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated installation identifier and your purchase and receipt information. It does not receive your name, email address, or any of your drink or health data, and the identifier is not linked to your identity.

Apple processes the payment itself. We never see or receive your payment details. RevenueCat's privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.

What Sipa does not collect

Exporting your data

Settings includes an export that writes your full drink history to a plain CSV file. The export happens on your device and the file goes wherever you send it. It is your data and your choice.

Children

Sipa is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Since the app collects no personal information at all, there is nothing for us to hold or delete.

Health disclaimer

Sipa is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Its goal is calculated from published adequate-intake reference values and is an estimate, not a prescription. Some people are told by a clinician to restrict fluids — commonly in heart failure, kidney disease or dialysis. If that applies to you, follow your clinician's figure, which you can enter in Settings; Sipa will never push you above it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
