Because published intake figures describe your total water, and roughly a fifth of that arrives in food โ fruit, vegetables, soup, yoghurt. Sipa subtracts that line, so its number is what you actually have to drink. Tap "Why this number" on the Today screen to see every step of the calculation and its sources.
Yes, in full. Caffeine is a mild diuretic but not enough to cancel out the fluid you drank. Milk counts slightly higher, at 1.5ร, because its salts and protein slow how fast it leaves you.
That is deliberate. A habit forms in about four weeks, so Sipa's reminders step down each week and switch off after week five. If you are ahead of pace on a given day, none fire at all. You can keep them on permanently in Settings.
Set your own daily goal in Settings and Sipa will show that figure and never push you above it. Sipa is not a medical device and your clinician's number is the correct one.
Settings โ Export my data writes your whole drink history to a plain CSV file on your device.
Sipa Pro is billed by Apple. Open the Settings app โ tap your name โ Subscriptions โ Sipa, and you can change or cancel it there. Cancelling keeps the data already on your device โ it is stored locally and we never delete it โ but the app itself needs an active subscription to use.
Open the paywall and tap Restore. If that doesn't work, email us with the Apple receipt and we'll sort it out.
